Flying back from Florida last January. So surprised that this photo turned out ok but it's alright nothing special but it was sure cool to be up so high unfortunately you can't see the palm trees from here >.<
I love a aeroplane window shot, so do not be disheartened by the low originality grade. Let's face it, its often done, but this is as good a window shot as I've seen.
I love how the depth is accentuated by the clouds and the shadows and I love the off-kilter angle. Definitely adds to the impact of this shot and, I think, tongue-in-cheekly, a feature of aeroplane window shots that has become positively clichéd!
I am impressed you've managed to avoid reflections and glares from the window which shows you've technically done well, but the focus on the ground at the extreme base of the image is a little disappointing and detracts from the impact of the image a little. The colours are, however, fantastically saturated and I love the way you've framed the image to include a hint of wing! Again, another positively clichéd aspect of aeroplane shots IMO.
I reaally enjoyed this shot, novelty yes, but just that extra portion of well thought out composition and technique makes this more than just a novelty shot.
reminds me of landing in Vegas.. there was some really neato painted cliffs that i wanted to shoot out of the airplane.. grabbed my camera.. thats the exact moment i realized every battery I owned was still at home on the chargers... SIGH.. ()%$)(*)&&%*(%&(*)(#_) 2 days and $85 bucks to fedex later, I was good to go.. poop.
OH SHIT! That sucks how many days were you there for? My mom forgot to bring my camera to New York. At least you got your camera better then not having it the whole trip
Yeah.. it's not like me to make mistakes like that.. kinda like going to the vet's office and leaving the dog at home.. wtf! hahahaha I didn't get to the dam or to the grand canyon.. going back next couple of weeks or so I hope..
Ha the one thing I would never forget is my camera I would have it packed a week in advance cause I just couldn't go without it :S That's good just remember the camera this time C:
Nice shot Ally! I actually like the wing in the shot, gives a sense of preception and depth, nice work! One of the cloud shadows down there kinda looks like a palm tree...if I really task my imagination
